(“Skyecord,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website at skyecord.com (the “Site”) and who communicate with us through the Site or by other means. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) and applicable Canadian privacy law.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2.0 Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through:
- The Skyecord website (skyecord.com)
- The contact form on our Site
- Email correspondence with Skyecord
- Any other interaction with Skyecord where personal information is collected via the Site
This Policy does not apply to personal information collected in the course of client engagements, which is governed by the terms of the applicable service agreement. This Policy also does not apply to the practices of third parties that Skyecord does not own or control, including third-party websites linked from our Site.

4.0 Personal Information We Collect
4.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you submit our contact form or email us, we may collect the following:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name (optional)
- The content of your message or inquiry
4.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, certain information is collected automatically through analytics tools and standard web technologies:
Google Analytics (GA4). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address (which Google anonymizes in GA4 by default), browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and general geographic location. Vercel Analytics.Our Site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel Analytics collects aggregated, non-personally-identifiable performance and usage data such as page views, load times, and web vitals. Vercel's web analytics product is designed to be privacy-friendly and does not use cookies for analytics tracking.
HubSpot. Our contact form is powered by HubSpot. When you submit the contact form or interact with certain elements on our Site, HubSpot may collect information including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and form submission data. HubSpot uses cookies to track visitor activity on the Site and to associate form submissions with browsing behaviour for the purpose of managing inquiries and follow-up communications.
Server Logs. Our hosting provider may automatically collect standard server log data, including your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps.
4.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Our Site uses the following types of cookies:

5.0 Purposes for Collection, Use, and Disclosure
We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:
- Responding to inquiries. When you submit our contact form or email us, we use your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about our services.
- Website analytics. We use analytics data to understand how visitors use our Site, improve the Site's performance and content, and monitor site health.
- Business development. If you inquire about our services, we may retain your contact information in HubSpot to follow up on your inquiry and provide information about our advisory, consulting, or technology services.
- Legal and compliance. We may use or disclose personal information as required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
6.0 Consent
Under PIPEDA, we rely on the following forms of consent:
- Express consent. When you voluntarily submit the contact form on our Site, you are providing express consent for us to collect, use, and store the information you provide for the purposes described in this Policy, including storage and processing by HubSpot.
- Implied consent. By visiting and using our Site, you imply consent to the collection of non-personally-identifiable analytics data through cookies and similar technologies, as described in Sections 4.2 and 4.3.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@skyecord.com. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to communicate with you or provide requested services. Upon withdrawal, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify your personal information, subject to any legal obligations requiring retention.
7.0 Disclosure to Third Parties
We may share personal information with the following categories of third parties, solely for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Service providers. We use third-party service providers to host our website, manage contact form submissions, and provide analytics. These providers process personal information on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it. Current service providers include:
- Google (analytics)
- Vercel (website hosting and performance analytics)
- HubSpot (contact form processing, inquiry management, and marketing tracking)
- Professional advisors. We may disclose personal information to our legal, accounting, or other professional advisors where necessary.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose personal information where required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority.
8.0 Cross-Border Data Transfers
Some of our third-party service providers process personal information outside of Canada. Specifically:
- Google may process analytics data on servers located in the United States.
- Vercel hosts our Site and may process data on servers located in the United States.
- HubSpot processes contact form submissions and related data on servers located in the United States.
Where personal information is transferred outside of Canada, it may be subject to the laws and disclosure requirements of those jurisdictions, including lawful access requests by foreign courts, law enforcement, or government authorities. Skyecord takes reasonable steps to ensure that third-party service providers handling personal information outside of Canada are bound by contractual obligations to provide a comparable level of protection.
9.0 AI-Assisted Processing
Skyecord may use artificial intelligence technologies in the course of providing its services, including for data analysis, document processing, workflow automation, and communications assistance.
Where AI technologies are used, processing is conducted through enterprise-grade platforms under contractual arrangements that prohibit the use of personal information for the training, fine-tuning, or improvement of any underlying AI models. Data processed by AI systems is subject to the same encryption, access control, and data handling standards described elsewhere in this Policy.
Skyecord does not use consumer-tier AI products for the processing of personal information. All AI service providers are evaluated against Skyecord's vendor selection criteria, including their data handling practices, contractual commitments regarding data usage, and compliance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
10.0 Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
- Contact form submissions are retained in HubSpot for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and for legitimate business development purposes. You may request deletion at any time.
- Analytics data is retained according to the default retention periods of each analytics provider. Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months by default.
- Email correspondence is retained in accordance with our internal records management practices.
11.0 Accuracy
We take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information in our possession is accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. If you believe any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request a correction by contacting us at info@skyecord.com. We will update the information promptly where appropriate and notify any third parties to whom the information has been disclosed, where feasible.
12.0 Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information in our possession from unauthorized access, use, modification, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Use of HTTPS encryption on our Site
- Access controls limiting who can view personal information
- Use of reputable, commercially reasonable third-party service providers with their own security programs
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
13.0 Your Rights Under PIPEDA
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction. You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Withdraw consent. You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Request deletion. You may request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain it.
- File a complaint. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (see Section 17.0).

14.0 Challenging Compliance
You have the right to challenge Skyecord's compliance with this Privacy Policy and with PIPEDA.
If you have a concern or complaint about how we handle your personal information, we encourage you to first contact us directly at info@skyecord.com. We will investigate your complaint, respond within 30 days, and take appropriate steps to resolve the matter.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (see Section 17.0).
15.0 Children's Privacy
Our Site and services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor, please contact us at info@skyecord.com so we can promptly delete it.
16.0 Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn and other external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
17.0 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
